School -- M, T, Th, F

7:40 AM - 7:50 AM*            School Playground Opens (except Wednesdays when it will be 8:40-8:50am)

7:47 AM                               Line Up With Your Class On The Playground

7:50 AM*                             School Starts

2:50 PM*                             Dismissal  bell 

3:00 PM*                             A school staff member will survey the school yard.  Any student without adult supervision after 3pm will be escorted to the office.

School -- Late Start Wednesdays

*Wednesdays will be a one hour late start beginning 8/19/26. See "BVSD's Moving to the Equal School Day" details for more information. On Wednesdays, the Whittier school playground will open from 8:4-8:50. School starts at 8:50am with a tardy bell at 9am. School dismissal remains unchanged at 2:50.

If you need your child to come to school Wednesdays from 7:40-8:40 am, we will have paraeducators available to supervise and an adult will need to park and sign a child into their care through the main office. Buses will run on schedules one hour later on Wednesdays so if you access our Wednesday morning care, you must drop off your child.
