Teresa Lerose

    English Language Development

I have a Bachelor's Degree in Spanish and Education from the University of Michigan. I have worked as a teacher in a variety of positions since 1993. I taught high school Spanish, tutored adults and children in ESL, I taught 4th grade in Chicago and have taught 2nd, 3rd and 5th grades in Boulder Valley.  In 1999 I graduated from CU Master's program in Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Education.

Regardless of the setting I am teaching in, I am always interested in how students construct understanding. I leverage the student's curiosity, interest, readiness and learning styles to engage them in their learning. I adore working with children and I work hard to create a classroom where all participants are heard, honored and have an active role in our learning community.
