Physical Education

Physical Education is an academic subject that provides students at Whittier with a standards-based curriculum designed to grow and develop motor skills, knowledge, and promote appropriate behaviors in order to be physically active for a lifetime.  During physical education classes, we try to keep students moving as much as possible as they grow into competent and literate movers. We teach a variety of games and activities that assist with the development of fine and gross motor movements, promotes personal and social responsibility, and provide an opportunity for each individual to recognize the value of physical activity.
